Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need my lender's permission?

Yes - if the property is mortgaged, your lender must consent to any change in ownership before the transfer completes.

Is Stamp Duty payable?

Transfers between spouses or civil partners are usually exempt, but other transfers may attract SDLT. We'll assess this for you.

Can this be done alongside a remortgage?

Yes - many transfers of equity are combined with a remortgage, and we can handle both together.
